the other day pictures

This is from two days ago. We went to the store and Yoplait was on sale so we got some. G&G love and I do mean LOVES yogurt! Almost every time we go to the store and go thought the dairy section they point for them, its cute.

Yes that is chocolate on my couch. Not worried its an old couch and I can just wash it. This is of Gwen and Gilbert kissing last night. They are so cute they are really into kissing right now.

This is of them having a snack before nap yesterday. And yes they are wearing the same cloths from the pictures I posted yesterday but I promise they are different days, lol

This after snack time. I went into the kitchen to clean up. I looked into the dinning room and Gwen has climbed onto the table and was drawing.

Because I thought she was so cute I just left her on the table. Well Gilbert deiced to join her.

This is us going on our walk yesterday

beds

We bought G&G beds for Christmas and we have tried a couple of time to get G&G to sleep in them. The first time all they did was play. they thought it was so funny. It was really cute to listen to them talk and play. I tried a second time but I was not felling well and it was just the afternoon nap so I let them try for ten minutes then I put them to bed in their cribs. Well a week had past and we have not tried again until tonight. Things were going really well. They had been in their beds for 18 minutes when Gilbert started to knock on the door. I went to get him and he was standing there with his water sippy and blanket. I picked him up and laid in bed with him. He was clamming down when Gwen started to cry and then threw up on herself (again, ugh). We took them out clean up the mess and moved their mattress back into their cribs. We let them stay up for another ten minutes and then put them to bed in their cribs. I think it went well. We are going to do it tomorrow. I think I might do something that really wears them out tomorrow afternoon and put them down right when they are falling a sleep, to see if that helps them sleep in them.

here are pictures of Sam and G&G putting the beds together. I did not help because this is the day after we got back from Utah and I was still very sick, in fact it was the day before I was so sick I spent the whole day in bad.

I promise my house is usually not that messy. I was sick and could not unpack our things yet

park

Gwen and Gilbert at the Park today

walking

I am very proud of myself. I have gone out and walked about 2 miles three times this week. As like so many people I have made a New Years resolution to lose weight. I am watching what I am eating and for the exercising I am starting with walking and hopefully building up to running the two miles. I guess we will see what is going to happen. Oh I almost forgot to mention that I am not walking a lone. Sam is coming with me and so are G&G and Max and Jessi (our dogs). Oh my goodness pulling that wagon up and down the hills are a work out in itself! Today I went out walking by myself with my groupies (G&G and M&J) my neighbor daughter saw me and asked to joined. I told her she could. She went to ask her dad and came back with her new puppy. It was fun. It was nice having someone with me so I was lonely. At times I really like this neighborhood.

our family picture

Happy New Years!

Its been awhile since I have written on here. I was busy visiting with family the last couple of weeks and spending some much needed time away from the computer! Our visit home went every well. We did not do anything big, but that is the way we wanted it to be. We just wanted to relax and visit with our love ones.

we had a good Christmas. G&G got lots of toy. Probably too many. I am in the proses of getting rid of the toys they no long play with and have out grown. Sam got a Wii and games. I got a Nikon D40 camera!! I love it! So I guess you can all expect more pictures from me. Hopefully they will be really good pictures.

I got really sick on the way home from Utah. I was sick for about four days. So far Sam and G&G have not gotten it. So hopefully because they got the flu shot they will not get it.

Oh here is one of the biggest news that came out this past two weeks. Sam reenlisted on December 28!!! So we are in the Navy for another 5 year! that will put Sam at 14 years (after that contract is up) so we will be staying the 20 years and retiring in 2018 at the age of 39!! That will also keep us in San Diego for at least another 4-5 years. Then hopefully back home for a few years.

back home!

We are in Utah for Christmas. We left yesterday afternoon, five hours behind schedule, and arrived in Utah today, at five in the morning. We were behind in schedule because Sam had to stay at work longer then we thought he would have to. Then the gas station had a very, very long line to get gas. by the time we were finally on the road it was the beginning of rush hour. It took two hours to go 41 miles! But once we were out of San Diego we were able to finally go the speed limit and make good time! We did not hit any other traffic. We were going to stop in Vegas but Sam said he really did not want to stop so we kept on driving. G&G did very well on the drive. The first four hours they did not cry at all!!! Then 8 o'clock rolled around (bed time) and then they got fussy. I turned out the dome light and Gilbert fell asleep. About a half hour later and Gwenith fell asleep. When we stopped for gas they did wake up but once we got on the road they fell asleep again with no trouble, except for when we got gas in Nephi (that was at 4 in the morning) they stayed up. But that was ok because we were almost home. When we got to mom's house G&G were very excited to see Grandma. We stayed up for an hour and then all four (five including Grandma) we to sleep.

today has been a day of recuperation for Sam and I but have been having fun visiting with family.
