my brother

please keep my brother (and his unit) in your thoughts and prayers!!! He only has eight days left over there, but in the last two days three guys from his unit have been killed and one had his legs blown off!!!! Here is the article about the two that were kill yesterday. I have not found an article about today. It really sucks that these guys have been over there for over a year and they are so close to be coming home and they get killed! I mean it sucks they get killed period but they are so close to being done and able to come home, you know what I mean.

Happy (belated) Easter

I know I know Easter was five days ago but I have not down loaded my camera yet and now that I have I would like to share them. G&G had a blast finding plastic eggs and opening them right away. The first five are from the hunt we had at home when mom got off work and I got home from the doctor (yes I went to the doctor on a Sunday).


The next bunch are from my Grandma's Easter party Easter egg hunt. At the get together there was over 97 people there. I think it was one of the best turn outs we have had for Easter in a very long time. Some of my second cousins that I have not seen in years were there!

These are from after the party. Gwen and Gilbert were having fun looking at each other though the sliding glass door. It was so cute. They had a blast!

I know I have not been on much like I use to be. It just Sam, my husband, is in town and I want to spend as much time as I can with him and not on the computer. Also G&G have been sick. Nothing to bad just a little high temp and a little throwing up nothing bad as to bring them into the doctors. Speaking of doctors I finally got G&G and me to have Utah doctors so if we did sick or hurt we not longer have to go to the ER. It was easier then I thought it would be all I had to do was fill out a 5 page form and mail it into the insurance.

two weeks

whoohoo, my brother Jeremy only has two weeks left in Iraq!!!!!

I miss my brother he has been gone for 14 months now. I can't wait for him to come home. Unfortunately I will not see him once he is state side because he will be back in the state he is currently stationed at but my mom will be there. but Jeremy will take leave within a couple of months of his return so I will see him soon.

Operation Sam

I am so excited Sam is coming here to Utah to visit! He was flown off his ship (it is out to sea doing ops) to San Diego yesterday afternoon! Originally that was suppose to take place today but you got to love the military and they way nothing is set in stone. Because I did not know what time he was going to leave the ship on Friday and Jetblue only has one flight here to Utah, I bought the ticket for Saturday. But of course thing change and Sam left the ship yesterday so this morning Sam went to the airport and talked to the people at the ticket counter and because we have a ticket for tomorrow and they have 20 open seat today they are going to let Sam fly by stand-by today!!! So as I am writing this Sam should be on his way to the airport and hopefully he will be able to get on the flight and will be here tonight. Unfortunately it will be after G&G will be a sleep but they will have a nice surprise tomorrow morning!!

stroller

I bought a new stroller two days ago. It was not really the stroller I wanted but I could not find a double jogging stroller here in Utah that was under 300.00! The double jogging stroller that I wanted was only 179.00 at Babies r us. But they did not have any in stock. I waited two weeks and they never got any in. I ever tried the other two Babies r Us is Utah but they did not have any either in fact they had a waiting list! This jogging stroller includes lockable front swivel wheel, a 5-point harnesses, reclining seats. The canopy contains speakers for an iPod player hook-up. I really wanted this. Maybe I can get it later this summer. But I deiced to go with just a normal side by side stroller so that we would have a stroller now. G&G seem to like it. It folds up really nicely and it very light. Here is a picture of the stroller we got:

Today is my mom's birthday.

What do you thing this white cloud is?? It is only in 3 of 15 the shot / pictures I took last night. When I was first looking thought them my first thought was it is a ghost! But really what do you think it is?

what season is it?

The first day of Spring is in four days and what has it been doing here for the last two days . . . SNOWING!!! It started yesterday mid morning and stopped some time last night after midnight and it has been (light) snowing all day long today!! I love the snow and all the blessings it gives us (water!) but Easter is now less then a weeks away and I would to hide the eggs outside but the weather looks I don't think that is going to happen. Gwen's Easter dress does not have sleeves but luckily it will not look bad if I put a onesies with long sleeve under it. Gilbert's outfit is short sleeves but it has a sweeter pullover so I think will be fine. I might put a long sleeve undershirt on him to keep him warm though.

Girls in the Family

We had a girl family get together this morning. On my mom side of the family there are 27 girls/women! So my Aunt Linda got us all together and did a brunch to celebrate all the women that have had or will have birthdays the first part of this year. I can't remember off hand how many it was but I swear it is like over half. There are tons in March. I had fun visiting with all my family. Most I have not seen since Christmas.

Gwen was doing Gilbert's hair today. It was so cute I had to share it all with you. She is so cut as I am writing this she is now brushing my hair.

Gilbert needs a hair cut again. This will be his fourth hair cut in 10 months! I guess I need to get it cut shorter. I like his long hair but at the same time I hate how it looks most of them time. I don't know how I should get it cut.

I just love my diaper bag!!!! One of the reason I like it so much is because it does not look like a diaper bag! People always gives me comments on it and most people think I just took an over size bag and made it into a diaper bag. They think this until I start to tell them why I love this. Jet Blue

I flew Jet Blue this weekend to visit Sam and I loved the flight!!! The flight was great and here are is why

• more overhead storage space



• lots of legroom compare to other flights I have been on



• irresistible snacks (seven different snacks to chose from and its a very good selections!) and drinks (I got a full can!)

I did not really deal with the flight attendants but they seemed nice. I am going to fly with Jet blue again I really had a good experience with them! Oh and they have a direct flight to San Diego! And they were really cheap!

weekend

I have been in Cali for the last three days being with Sam. This is the first time since November 2005 (that includes pregnancy) I have been away from Gwen and Gilbert!! I really miss them. When mom dropped me off at airport on Friday I started to cry in the security line. All I think is I leaving my babies and then I would think I am going to see my husband for the first time in two weeks, it was a catch-22. I could not decide if i was crying because I was happy for sad. boy being me is hard.

this weekend has been really nice I have been able to spend some much needed time with Sam and have a very relaxing weekend. But I miss my babies!!

Backyard Adventures

G&G were getting cabin fever from being inside all the time because of the cold weather. We are just not use to this. In Cali we go outside every day and play on at the park. There is this place around here that sells backyard Play Sets. They have what they call open play where we can come play on some of the products they sell. We went to it back and December and had fun so we wanted to go again. So we invited our cousins, Heather and Taylar, to join us.
