pictures of the beach

I was going thought my pictures when I came across these and remember I never shared them with you all. These are from February 7th. It was a warm day but the seas were rough and the high tide was coming in. Gwen did not like being on the beach with the water being so rough.

I love this picture! I can't remember now what was going on. But it is so cute!! I love it when they hug each other

chalk

does anyone know how to get chalk out of carpet?

Gilbert decided to draw his own train track. The "train tracks" are all over the front room carpet and the hallway tiles. I got the tracks off the tiles with no problem but the lines on the carpet is still there! I put spot remover on it and it is still there!

This picture does not show the lines well, but trust me in person the lines are very much there! This happen while I was writing the "I am back" post. That is one of the many reason it took me a couple of days to get back on here.

Easter

We went home to Utah for the weekend to celebrate Easter with family. It was a low key Easter this year. We did not do much. We had an Easter egg hunt that morning for Gwen, Gilbert, Jason and Talon. First thing they did was go get their baskets. Then they went looking for the eggs, they had a blast looking for the eggs. Gilbert was looking ever where. He did not wanted to stop. He is so cute. But once he did he decide to empty out his baskets out to see what he found. He lined up all his eggs. Gwen saw what he did and followed.

After the hunt Gwen and Gilbert colored some of the eggs. We did that because Gwen and Gilbert fell asleep early the night before and they did not color the eggs, so Jason and Talon colored a couple and saved a half dozen for them. I forgot to take pictures so we do not have any to remember their first egg coloring :( But they had fun doing it.

Later that afternoon we went to a park to celebrate with the Fam! I love how my mom's side gets together for the holidays and do big family parties. I hope we always do that! Anyways we went to the park had lunch and then a egg hunt.

I am writing this from my new phone while we are driving from Utah to California! While we were home visiting Sam and I decided to try to get new phones. Well Sam ended up getting a gray blackberry curve and I got a pink blackberry pearl. I love this phone so far. I will post our Easter pictures tomorrow afternoon and see how this turned out

USO

Sam and I took Gwen and Gilbert to the USO last night for the free dinner (for military and their families) and Easter egg hunt last night. Gwen and Gilbert had so much fun! I thought they would be timid and not go after the candy and eggs, but boy was I wrong! They went straight for it. I did not have to point out hardly anything. Both Gwenith and Gilbert ended up with full baskets! I was very proud of them. But unfortunately there was some older kids did not get any because the age groups a head of them did not leave anything for them to find. I felt really bad for them, so I had Gwen and Gilbert give them some candy. I was really proud of them for sharing their candies with others. We went around looking in kids baskets and if they did not have any we would share with them. After the hunt it was time to stand in line for the Easter Bunny. Gilbert was really funny, while standing in line he went looking for more candy. It was so cute. I wish I had pictures to share but I forgot my camera. Gilbert like always went straight up to the Easter Bunny and hugged him. Gwen wanted to but then got afraid, but once I went with her she was fine.

today

I am not going to bore you all with my pity post and just direct you all over there. But I to share again, this is my sisters day. She will forever live in my heart! It has been 30 years this year. I wanted to be able to go to her grave but I am in Cali. I will have to go when I come home for Easter.

lighthouse

two Saturdays ago we went to the lighthouse at Point Loma, San Diego. It is not the pretties lighthouses I have seen but it is still very beautiful! This Lighthouse was built in 1854, it was one of the first eight lighthouses on the pacific coast. It marked the beginnings of safe maritime activities in San Diego Bay. The lighthouse would provide mariners with a nightly beacon for 36 years. But it was destined to fail, because of its elevation, the light was often covered in fog. It was used until 1891, when the new Pelican Point lighthouse, located 300 feet below, began to operate. The Point Loma Lighthouse was used during WWII, The Navy used it as a signal tower. It was restored by the National Park Service in 1984, it remains as a reminder of the contribution of the 19th century lighthouse keepers and their families to California's maritime past. marking the beginning of safe maritime activities in San Diego Bay.

We had a wonderful time touring the area of the light house and discovering the rich history of the area.

After the lighthouse we went the the shores below. Here is where we went

That is the view up to the lighthouse

Unfortunately we were there at high tide so we could not go all the way down but we toke the opportunity to take lots of picture of the area and of ourselves.

When we were done exploring the area there was still a lot of daylight left so since we had season passes to Sea World we decided to go there! I wont bore you all with pictures of Shamu so I will just shower you all with a couple of pictures of Gwen and Gilbert.
